Over the past few decades, studies have reported a rising prevalence of mental health issues among youth and on campuses across the nation. Prior to COVID-19, campus counseling services were reporting their highest utilization rates ever and at the same time, cardiovascular fitness levels at all ages were in decline, two metrics which are undoubtedly linked. Although campus recreation offerings have expanded, the shift to distance learning presented a challenge. Join me to learn the current research about how COVID-19 has impacted mental and physical health and the latest research on how campus recreation offerings counter COVID-related challenges to resilience and wellbeing. We'll also explore inclusive and affirming targeted marketing strategies.
