Join us for a 60 minute panel of higher education professionals and faculty exploring finding common ground, particularly around the intersection of faith and politics during this divisive era. Common Ground seeks to create a space where faith-based institutions and individuals can lean into a brave space to engage in conversation around opportunities and challenges in supporting all students and colleagues of various gender identities. The panel will introduce the NCAA Common Ground program that has been utilized in many athletic departments around the country, how the model could be utilized in collegiate recreation, lessons learned, and salient topics that have helped folks lean into finding common ground.

Learning Objectives:

  • Attendees will be able to understand some of the opportunities and challenges in supporting all students and colleagues of various gender identities.
  • Attendees will recognize how the NCAA Common Ground framework can be applied in student affairs-based settings.
