Campus Recreation Essentials: Competencies for Student Employees

Designed to augment the NIRSA Core Competencies through a Student Development lens, Campus Recreation Essentials: Competencies for Student Employees provides a list of fundamental attributes required of all student employees shared across all functional areas. Students can use this document for self-evaluation towards mastery, while supervisors can utilize it to evaluate, coach and mentor employees. The document contains a list of competencies with definitions and behaviors that illustrate mastery of each competency, as well as a self-assessment tool.
