At FSU since 1995, David started in Campus Recreation as an IM flag football official moving up to the ranks to become the Director of Intramural Sports in the mid-2000s.  Since 2013, he has been an Associate Director for the department.  Active in NIRSA, David serves in various roles in the NIRSA Championship Series and was recently part of the Member Network and the Annual Conference Program Committee.  Despite a self-proclaimed lack of athletic talent, he is an avid wallyball player.

Intramural and Club Sports Institute - Co-Chair

I'm a Texas A&M Aggie and Oklahoma State Cowboy.  BS in Rangeland Ecology and MS in Leisure Service Management.

My favorite things are Star Wars, solving problems, strategies to improve, coaching for leaders podcast, advocating for others, and food.

I am the National Sport Programs and the Campus Activation coordinator for NIRSA. I have been with NIRSA for almost 4 years. I started off as a part-time receptionist and moved into my role as the Sports Coordinator in January 2018. I have also been working with the Campus Activation department for the last 6 months. 

I love my role within NIRSA especially since I get to work with amazing volunteers every day!

I work closely with the NIRSA Championship Series committee and NSC board, to promote and manage the NIRSA National/Regional tournaments which includes, soccer, flag football, basketball and tennis.  I also work with Special Olympics North America to promoted Unified programming at the NIRSA Championship Series tournaments and on campus.  I work with the United States Tennis Association to promote their USTA Tennis On College Campus program and serve as co-tournament director for the TOC National Championship.
