Engagement & Leadership with NIRSA - How can you get more involved!
Want to learn more about ways to engage and lead within NIRSA? Join the Engagement and Leadership session facilitated by Wendy Windsor and Erin Patchett. During this session you will have the opportunity to learn about the numerous ways to get involved with NIRSA both at the regional and association level. Participants will learn more about the Pathways into Leadership and will then have the chance to participate in breakout rooms. Representatives from across the NIRSA, NIRSA Foundation and Champ Series, will be hosting the breakout rooms where you will learn more about the various volunteer opportunities and ask questions!

I am currently the Director of Campus Recreation at Tulane University where I provide leadership and oversight to all aspects of our recreations and wellness programs. Prior to Tulane, I held positions at UCLA, LSU, MTSU, and Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Being a former athlete, my passion is sports as I am a huge supporter of women's intercollegiate athletics.
I enjoy all sorts of recreation activities including golf and hiking. I am also a passionate Samples baseball fan!

My name is Erin Patchett (she/her) and you can call me EP. I currently work for Colorado State University Campus Recreation as the Director of Administration and Assessment. I've volunteered with NIRSA throughout my career, most recently as the 2021 NIRSA Annual Conference Program Chair and with the EDI Commission. Some of my most cherished friendships are with folx I've met during my journey in this field.
I am a graduate of the University of Iowa (B.S. Exercise Science, M.A. Leisure Studies) and the University of Northern Colorado (Ph.D. Sport Administration).
My favorite things to dialogue about are assessment, research, gender, pronouns, social justice, tattoos, emotional intelligence, and coffee.
